The use of moxabustion for patient treatement of low back and knee pain shown above. This moxa is lighted and burned over the acupuncture point or near to acupuncture needle on the acupuncture point to promote healing and pain relief.

This patient has cervical disk herniation that has caused severe pain and muscle atrophy with inability to move the right arm to perform daily activities such as work and driving. After several treatments he was able to return to work and pursue daily activities such as exercise, driving and home improvement without debilitating pain.

The use of electrical stimulation on the needle points can enhance the therapeutic effect of various conditions as shown above. A very fine wire clip is placed on the needle and a minute electrical current goes through the electrode and needle to effect healing and promote balance to the body.

Needles are ultra fine, solid (not hollow like syringes) and made for penetrating the skin without pain. The needles are placed along acupuncture points on the meridians or lines of energy on the body to promote balance, healing and health.

Acupuncture points are located on what are termed "meridians". Basically these meridians are complex interconnectiong channels that run over and within the entire body with many internconnections similar to streams and rivers that empty into lakes and oceans. Acupuncture points are used to tap into the qi and blood flow along these "meridians" to promote healing and balance to the body for many types of conditions.
