Accountability of Complementary Alternative Medicine-CAM
Insurance Parity for Acupuncture and TCM– This initiative
seeks to reform insurance laws to provide parity for acupuncture
services to participants of managed health care organizations (this
means YOU!). Currently, acupuncture is not treated equally in terms
of patient co-pays. In addition, managed health care companies are
not required to offer reimbursement for acupuncture as a licensed
service for patient care as with other licensed health care professions.
Sound patient care begins with you. Please support your own health
by supporting legislation to bring parity to acupuncture and TCM
as a health care modality.
